Any die cutting machine that frees you from the cartridges systems of the past should be applauded, and the Pazzles Inspiration is one of those units. We also like that the Inspiration allows you to adjust things like blade pressure and blade length. This die cutting machine handles quite a few tasks besides cutting with ease, like embossing and engraving. That adds a lot to this versatile unit.

Pazzles Inspiration takes instruction from software instead of cartridges, which gives you access to an endless supply of designs. If you can imagine it, this electronic die cutting machine can cut it. This unit’s software also offers access to advanced features like fitting objects to a specified path, rhinestone fonts and easily adding latticework to solid areas of a design.

The Pazzles Inspiration die cutting machine powers through chipboard with ease. Crafters love this material because it is inexpensive and can be cut, glued, inked, stamped, painted and much more. The Inspiration cannot cut any width of chipboard, but it goes pretty thick, up to about the thickness of a nickel.

As mentioned, this die cutting unit lets you have quite a lot of control over settings like blade length, pressure and number of passes. Sometimes so many blade adjustment options can be intimidating, but the Inspiration offers suggested settings – and you will get better and better at choosing your own settings as you use the machine.

The Inspiration die cutting system does a beautiful job of engraving on surfaces like metal, acrylic and even glass.

Portability is one way the Inspiration falls a bit short in our view. Not everyone cares about the portability of their die cutting machine, but if you do this one is not going to be the best choice. It is relatively heavy, lacks a carry handle and must be hooked up to a computer to function. We also think this lack of portability is one factor that makes this die cutting unit’s price seem a little too high.

Materials:

The Pazzles Inspiration die cutting system can make its way through a pretty wide variety of materials, including balsa wood, rubber, vinyl, thin metal and more. Cutting with about 500 grams of pressure, it will definitely outcut models with less power, but we expect even more from a die cutting machine at this price point.

Capabilities:

We like the long list of capabilities offered by the Pazzles Inspiration. This machine will draw, cut, pierce, engrave and emboss with ease.

Help & Support:

The customer support offered by Pazzles is excellent overall. The website is well organized and offers easy-to-find tutorials and other help. A Designer Chat option allows you easy access to Pazzles professionals who can consult with you about your die cutting project. You don’t even have to pick up a phone. Forums and album pages offer a ton of inspiration so you will never run out of die cutting project ideas.

Summary:

With some limitations on the number of materials it can cut and a lack of portability features, this die cutting machine will fall short by some measures, especially at this price point. However, the Pazzles Inspiration die cutting system will definitely inspire your creativity with easy-to-use software that offers endless designs, with exceptional engraving and embossing abilities and with quality customer service.
